of 'plug in' electrical equipment to ensure that you comply with your Occupational Health & Safety
obligations under AS3760:2003 and provide the necessary duty of care to your employees.

Your Obligations
Legislation covering occupational health and safety places an obligation on employers
and employees, to ensure the safety of all persons in the work place.
If your business is non compliant, you leave yourself open to substantial fines as well
as legal costs. The current maximums are $193,374 for individuals, and $966,870 for
companies as listed under section 21(1) of the O.H & S Act.

Most insurance policies (Public Liability Insurance) or similar, have an overriding clause
stating that the insurance company is bound by their contract only so long as 
compliance with relevent laws and safety regulations are being met.
Life Insurance and Income Protection insurance cover may also be affected.

What Needs To Be Tested?
All equipment connected to the electrical supply by a flexible cord and/or connecting
device needs to be tested.
